Grant Recipients

We, the Board and Staff of United Way of Camden County would like to congratulate our 2015-2016 Grant recipients!  We would like to thank each of our donors for your contributions to make this important community work possible.  We also encourage each of our grantees to continue their efforts of impacting our community.

Here are the funded programs for this year:

Camden County Headstart program – Provides comprehensive Early Childhood Education services to 99 infants, toddlers and preschoolers from low income families. The funds United Way provides helps provide technology enhancement for school readiness.

CGCAA Community Services Block grant – administered by the stats, provides core funding to local agencies to reduce poverty, revitalize low-income communities, and to empower low-income families to become self-sufficient.  The funds United Way provides helps specifically with housing assistance in Camden County.

Boy Scouts of America – providing premier leadership and life skills program, preparing young people to make ethical, moral choices by instilling Scout values. The funds United Way provides helps with School readiness and literacy. 

Coastal Counseling Center – to provide behavioral/mental health counseling to individuals and families in our community whose financial situation may prevent them from seeking needed services.

TASC – administered through the school system to provide opportunities for students with disabilities to learn life and work skills in a community setting.
